We give discretionary grants to projects and groups that help the people of the town of Stratford-upon-Avon. Each year we have around £1 million to distribute with some already committed to multi-year projects and grants awarded earlier in the year.
We’ve identified five key priorities where we believe our grants can make the biggest difference to the local community:
If we make a grant award to your organisation, you will have to start the project within a year of the date on your grant offer letter or the grant award may be cancelled. You will have to accept the Trust's General Grant Conditions and any Special Conditions which the Trustees may decide to impose on your particular grant award. The Trust's General Grant Conditions can be seen here: STT General Grant Conditions 2015
To find out which projects and groups have benefited from Stratford Town Trust funding so far, take a look at our grant stories.
You don’t have to live in Stratford-upon-Avon to apply for a grant, but your project or group must benefit people who live in the town. Those who study or work in the town can also benefit in certain circumstances.
To make our funding evenly available during the year, we have three main grant application rounds - please go to Types of Grants for more details.
We also award Fast Track Grants for applicants looking for £1,000 or less. Applications for these may be submitted at any time, with a decision usually made within 10 days.
