£1.8million awarded in 2016

STRATFORD Town Trust awarded £1.8 million in grants in 2016.

The figure was reported to members at our AGM on Wednesday, June 29th.

A total of £1,134,000 was awarded in discretionary grants – to support 169 different applications all to benefit the community in Stratford-upon-Avon.

A further £685,000 was distributed in non-discretionary grants, to support KES, the Almshouses and the Vicar of Holy Trinity.

In 2015 the figures were £1,133,000 and £660,000 respectively.

The Town Trust’s property and investment portfolio funds its grant-giving. The AGM reported a property portfolio worth £38.8m at the end of 2016, with investments of £56.8m, an increase of £3m on 2015.
