The funds the Town Trust distributes can only be spent in line with the Trust’s objects, laid down by the Charity Commission. These objects are, within the town of Stratford:
Working within these guidelines, the trustees decide which projects and activities will receive grants and what size those grants should be. Each application is considered carefully and the trustees seek to achieve the maximum benefit for the people of Stratford from the funds available.
Schools, arts organisations, community groups, local churches and many small charities are all supported. Major grants have included £100,000 to the High School to assist in the provision of the ICT network for the new school; £100,000 pledged to provide an all-weather athletics track at the Community Sports Centre; and support for the long-term funding of repairs to Holy Trinity Church and organisations such as the Citizen’s Advice Bureau.
How do I Apply?
We can only accept applications on our application form. Our application pack contains the form and also guidelines detailing the type of things we fund together with general advice on making an application. It is extremely important to read this before completing the application form.
