June 16- Town Trust - Highly Commended - UK Charity Awards 2005

May 2005 - Town Trust in running for UK Charity of the Year

Stratford Town Trust has been nominated for a major national prize at The Charity Awards 2005, the UK charity sector’s most prestigious award scheme sponsored by CAF. The charity has been short-listed in the grant-making category and is hoping to pick up the coveted award at a star-studded awards ceremony in London on 16th June. For more information click here

Bandstand Programme - 2007

The Stratford on Avon Bandstand stands in the heart of the bustling recreation ground just across the river from the beautiful and historic Royal Shakespeare Theatre and just a short stroll from the town. Surrounded by grass and old willows it is a lovely spot to enjoy a summer's afternoon listening to one of the many excellent bands while watching the boats, swans and people go by. The bandstand is managed by Stratford Town Trust and its programme of bands runs from May through to September. Most band performances start at 2.30 and run for two hours weather permitting. The Civic Hall, a community venue in the heart of Stratford is run and funded by Stratford Town Trust. The Civic Hall aims to be accessible to all local groups and supports its hire scheme with a diverse and exciting programme of dance, drama and music across all genres.

September 2004 - 2004/2005 Grants Applications


Every year the Town Trust distributes about £1 million to charitable causes which benefit the people who live in the town of Stratford upon Avon. Application packs for this years' round will be available from September 10. All applications must be completed and received by Monday 6 December 2004.

Lounge Bar and Restaurant
The refurbished Civic Hall Lounge Bar and Restaurant is run by Mark and Jenny Naylor, a local family business with a wealth of experience in the bar and catering trade. The Civic Hall Lounge Bar has always been a popular place for the local people to meet and enjoy a coffee or a light meal and Jenny and Mark aim to offer a warm welcome to customers, new and old, and to offer a healthy menu at competitive prices. Many of the meals prepared by Mark are freshly cooked using ingredients from local suppliers.

For events at the Civic Hall, Mark and Jenny can provide hospitality details, buffet and dinner dance menus, on request.
