Trustees

The Trust is managed by eleven trustees, all of whom must live in Stratford-upon-Avon and be members of the Trust themselves.

Trustees normally serve a four year term from appointment. The next election of trustees by the membership will be in 2010.

The Board of Trustees is made up as follows:

5 trustees elected by the membership

3 trustees nominated by the Town Council

3 trustees co-opted to provide additional skills to the Board

TRUSTEE ELECTION RESULT

The votes cast in the election have now been counted. Counting began at 10am and finished at 3pm Wednesday 17 October. The result is:

Paul Stanton           260 votes (elected)

Clarissa Roberts       238 votes

Beryl Downing          208 votes

Ian Fradgley            118 votes

Karen Parnell             91 votes
Peter Burgess            80 votes
John Newcombe         49 votes
John Moorhouse         36 votes

Turnout 1,080 - 49%

Paul Stanton's term of office will commence at the Trust Board meeting on Wednesday 31 October 2007.

 


The work of the Board of Trustees (except for matters reserved for the Board) is divided between five Committees  – Audit, Finance and Investment, General Management, Grants and Property.

The trustees are supported by the Chief Executive and other officers of the Trust who handle day-to-day management.
