To provide financial or other support for activities which enhance the quality of life of the people of Stratford-upon-Avon.

About us:

We award almost £2million each year to support charities, organisations, projects, events, groups, clubs, schools and individuals across Stratford-upon-Avon. You can find out more about us by reading our policies and reports.

Stratford-upon-Avon Town Trust was established, as it operates today, in 2001, when The Guild and College estates separated from Stratford-upon-Avon Town Council. Prior to that, our long history dates back to the 13th Century. The Trust is a registered charity and is not part of the local authority.

Our purpose is to use the income generated by its properties and investments to fund activities which support the community here in Stratford-upon-Avon.

We are managed by a team of Staff and Trustees.

Anyone over 18 and living in Stratford-upon-Avon is eligible to Become a Member and get involved.

 

Our Estate:

Our income is generated by the funds of two very ancient charities, the Guild and College Estates.

Granted many properties in and around Stratford many centuries ago, some of the rental income generated by these Estates was used to fund welfare facilities. And that is much the same today.

Stratford-upon-Avon Town Trust is corporate Trustee for the Guild and College Estates. Today, the Trust’s substantial portfolio is a mixture of investments and more than 100 properties in Stratford, including residential, commercial, retail and lands. The income these generate funds our grant-giving.
