Sara Aspley is our CEO with twenty plus years of management in the charity and arts sector. Originally from London, where she started her career in retail, Sara came to Stratford and a role at the RSC after some time spent in Glasgow and Edinburgh working for the National Museums of Scotland. Life outside of work revolves around family, music, spin classes, dog walking and baking – not necessarily in that order.

Head of Finance and Deputy Chief Executive - Rebecca Hampson

Rebecca Hampson is our Head of Finance and Deputy CEO who has thirty plus years of finance experience and fifteen plus years of that is in the charity sector. Rebecca trained as a chartered accountant with PwC in Birmingham and has lived and worked in Warwickshire for over twenty years. When not at work she enjoys spending time outdoors - dog walking, gardening and cycling. Family time is also important for her. Recently jam and gin making with produce from the garden have become new hobbies too.

Penny is the Community Hub Administrator, always happy to advise and help with any questions that may arise. She has lived in the Stratford area all her life and enjoys gardening, walking and spending time with family and friends.

Finance Assistant - Sarah Mottram

Sarah Mottram is our Finance Assistant who started with Stratford Town Trust back in 2015. During this time she has completed her level 4 AAT Professional Diploma in Accounting, which has helped her greatly working in the busy finance team. Sarah has always lived in and around Stratford-upon-Avon, and really enjoys working in the town centre and that each day at the Trust is very varied and busy. Life outside of work she enjoys lots of country walks, meals out and house renovations, she also volunteers for the local primary school’s PTA.

Buildings & Facilities Manager - Paul Fitzpatrick

Paul Fitzpatrick is our Buildings and Facilities manager. Paul has twenty years’ experience in the facilities sector. Prior to this he worked in the fish farming industry after gaining his degree. From initial beginnings in R&D he soon became responsible for building new turn-key fish farms and training the local personnel on projects around the world. This hands-on career ably equipped Paul for the facilities sector. Outside of work Paul enjoys dog walking, fishing, car repairs and family life.

Grants Officer - Catherine Kelso

Catherine is the Grants Officer and has been with the Trust for over 10 years. Catherine started her career working in marketing for a large global IT services company. With the demands of a young family she decided to leave her corporate role as a Marketing Manager and after a short break, began working in the charity sector, initially for an education charity. She also spent several years as Chair of Governors at a local primary school. Outside of the work her time is spent with family, friends, in the garden and when possible, indulging her interests in history.

Fran Nibbs is the Community Hub Manager. She has always worked in the charity sector, previously for a charity which supported schools to get children to learn to grow food and eat healthy meals. She is also the Stratford area coordinator for NCT, organising baby play & stay sessions each month. In her spare time, she spends time with her family, loves to be outdoors gardening or walking, upcycling furniture and general crafting!

Executive Assistant - Lynn Perkins

Lynn Perkins is our Executive Assistant and has worked for the Trust since its inception in 2001. She came to the Town Trust after almost 20 years at the Town Council so is well versed in the history of the Guild and College Estates. Lynn was born and educated in Stratford and now lives in Kineton. She is a keen bird watcher, enjoys playing badminton and is now getting to grips with basic gardening skills since moving (always room for improvement!).

Sarah is Deputy Manager of the Community Hub at Foundation House. With a background in theatre, she has found it a fascinating challenge to learn the ins and outs of operating a community building.

Volunteer Coordinator - Charlotte Summerskill

Charlotte Summerskill is our Volunteer Coordinator, working with our dedicated volunteer tour guides at the Guild Chapel, as well as managing new volunteer projects across the town – including the Stratford Repair Café, and conservation of our Green Spaces (Rowley Fields and Lench Meadows). When she wasn’t travelling Charlotte’s background is in Partnerships, Events, Marketing and Account Management. Outside of work she enjoys dog walks, travel, singing and interior design.

Grants Manager - James McHugh

James McHugh is our Grants Manager, with more than 15 year working directly in grantmaking, including a number of roles at The National Lottery Community Fund and working as a consultant to the social research company Ecorys. Away from the office, James enjoys (and endures) lots of dog walking with his excitable fox terrier cross, Santini, cooking, and generally complaining about how Aston Villa have contrived to ruin his weekend.

She has many years experience within teaching performing’s arts abroad and has worked for 6 years in Stratford upon Avon within the Children and Families charity sector. In her spare time, she enjoys supporting community groups and events, travelling, singing and spending time with her family. She is excited to learn more about Stratford Town Trust, exploring a new role and opportunity and being part of the new Community Hub at our temporary location.
