AT our AGM this year, we were pleased to feature a live grant making session for the first time.
This gave our members the chance to decide how to allocate funding to three local community groups; Sunnyside Up, Kate’s Storytree and Warwickshire Vision Support. The groups pitched their application via video presentations, leaving members with the difficult decision of deciding who to vote for.
We’re now pleased to announce the winners! Warwickshire Vision Support gained the most votes and were awarded £5,000. Louise Jelley, Fundraising and Senior Vision Support Officer said: “It was wonderful to get such support from the members of Stratford Town Trust. The funding means we can continue to support those in the town with visual impairments who are at risk of social isolation.”
Sunnyside Up and Kate’s Storytree came joint second and were both awarded £2,250. Congratulations to all three!
