Stratford Town Trust celebrates 25 years with a Fun Palace for everyone!
We're celebrating 25 years of making a difference to the community of Stratford-upon-Avon. In that time, we've provided funding of almost £45 million to local charities and community organisations and have awarded around 3,500 grants.
These have supported large scale capital projects such as the refurbishment of Delta House for Mencap Heart of England, funded ongoing Hospice care, supported the local Food Bank and provided grants that have changed people’s lives through mental health support, access to sports and the arts and by increasing inclusion and participation for those who might be socially isolated, such as those living with dementia. They also provide hardship grants to individuals each year through Citizens Advice South Warwickshire.
To celebrate, we are bringing the community together on Saturday 3rd October for a morning of fun at our annual Fun Palace. This free event will be held at Rother Street Arts House between 10am and 12pm and everyone is invited to come along to join in with a range of activities and try something new!
There will also be the opportunity to contribute to a permanent mosaic that will commemorate this special occasion and to view an exhibition about the history of Stratford Town Trust.
Lots of activities will be on offer, including street art, badminton, football and tai chi or the chance to simply chill out with rock painting and mosaic making amongst other things. Local groups attending include Stratford Family Club, Everyone Active and Warwickshire Search and Rescue.
