2026 is an election year for the Town Trust. We're holding elections for five trustees elected by our membership, to help us deliver our vision of creating a vibrant and connected community.

Being a trustee is rewarding! You’ll be able to share your skills and be involved in running an historic charity that typically distributes around £2m each year to charities and good causes. You don’t need to have previous experience as a trustee to add value – we will ensure that you have all the necessary help and support to fulfil your role.

Our Board of Trustees plays an essential role in the success of the charity, and is responsible for its strategic direction, governance and financial accountability, and we are now looking for a new Trustee to join our board. To be eligible you must live in the town.

The role offers an opportunity to contribute to supporting our vision of creating a vibrant and connected community in Stratford-upon-Avon. We welcome applications from members of diverse communities or backgrounds, including young people, and those who bring lived experience or knowledge of activities undertaken in the programmes we fund. You would be joining the Trust at an exciting time as we embark on our next five-year strategic plan and celebrate our 25th anniversary!

If you’d like to find out more, we’ll be at the Repair Cafe at Stratford Methodist Church in Old Town on  Saturday 7 March, from 10am – 2pm. Please do come along and have a chat or contact us for more information by calling us on: 01789 207111
or emailing: admin@stratfordtowntrust.co.uk

If you're already a Member, further information and a nomination form will land on your doorstep during March. If you're not a member, you will need to become one before you can apply to become a Trustee. If you are over 18 and a resident of Stratford-upon-Avon town you can sign up to join us a member here - it's free and only takes a couple of minutes.
